Wanted: Nominees for 2008 Urban Forest Awards
The SCUCFC values every individual, every community and every tree that contributes to our state’s urban forest. Don’t miss the opportunity to nominate your favorite community tree or trees, an outstanding individual or outstanding program for recognition by the entire urban forestry community.
The deadline to nominate this year’s recipients for either Golden Acorn award or Heritage Tree designation is July 7, 2008.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission, in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, is pleased to announce that funds have been appropriated for the 2008 Community Forestry Financial Assistance Program. Download grant information.

SCUCFC is a nonprofit organization created to provide a forum for the stewardship
of South Carolina's urban and community forests.
These forests include all the trees in your community - tree lined roads, recreation
areas and parks, neighborhoods, and commercial and private building sites.
Taking care of the trees in these areas benefits the environmental, social
and economic well being of your community.
